Meet The Geneva Family Dental Team
   


Dr. Melissa Jentz-Cote grew up in Buffalo Grove, IL and moved to Geneva with her husband Mike to start the dental practice of her dreams. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington for undergrad where she received a BS in Biology. Dr. Jentz-Cote then went on to the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago - Class of 2001. She then became an associate in a large, busy practice in Lake Zurich, along with teaching in the emergency department at the UIC College of Dentistry. Currently Dr. Melissa Jentz-Cote is growing Geneva Family Dental and her family at home. Mike and her welcomed their daughter Jordan Ann on October 5, 2010. She is a beautiful little girl full of smiles and giggles. Maybe one day she will take over GFD!

Dr Jentz-Cote chose Geneva to open her practice because the people are so wonderful and genuine, the town is lively and beautiful, and Geneva is where she wanted to settle down, raise a family, and grow a family dental practice that she and the community can be proud of. She is very active in the community, volunteering to teach grade schoolers about dentistry during dental health month along with mentoring future young dentists.  She is also involved with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce along with supporting many of the Geneva athletes including girls softball, boys basketball and the Tri City Chargers.

Dr Jentz-Cote is so proud of her growing practice and is so happy to have such wonderful patients.  Geneva Family Dental has grown so fast and the community has embraced us with open arms!

  
   

Dr. Adam Winckler was born in Aurora and was raised in Hinckley. Following high school at Hinckley-Big Rock High School he continued on to College at Augustana in Rock Island, IL where he graduated with honors and obtained a degree in Biology. Dr. Winckler obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then completed a hospital residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, where he acquired extended training in special patient care, emergency dentistry, and each of the dental specialties. During residency training he completed rotations in emergency medicine, anesthesia, oral medicine, and oral surgery. Dr. Winckler's primary interest is general dentistry because it will allow him the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with patients and members of the community for years to come. Dr. Winckler enjoys spending time with his wife Heide and baby Evan.

  
     
   
Michele decided when she was 5 that she wanted to be a dental hygienist. Her first job was as a dental assistant in a pediatric office. After graduating WCC and Parkland College in Champaign, she started working in Aurora. She worked there for 14 years. She also worked in St. Charles for 3 years and has been at GFD for 2 years now. Her goal is that every person that leaves her chair is educated and feeling positive about their experience at the dentist. She enjoys getting to know her patients as people and families, not just teeth. She feels at GFD, you get the best technology combined with a professional yet fun dental atmosphere. Michele lives in Elburn with her husband, daughter and two sons.


  
   

Jaime is a Dental Hygienist here at Geneva Family Dental and has been with the practice since June of 2006.  She has an Associate Degree in dental Hygiene and has been practicing for over ten years.  She has continually taken courses specializing in Periodontal therapy.  Jaime continues to enjoy working with people and strives to help them overcome their fear of the dentist.  She enjoys the flexibility it gives to still be able to be home a lot with her family.  Jaime has been married for over 9 years and has two young children named Jackson and Madeline.  Her main hobby is running and training for races with a highlight of running the Boston Marathon in 2006. 

 
   
Heather is our head dental assistant and also our marketing director. She was born in Batavia and attended Batavia High School where she graduated ahead of schedule. She developed an interest for the dental field and her early graduation gave her the opportunity to start assisting. After discovering her love for dentistry, she attended Kishwaukee College and received her certificate in dental assisting in 2005. She joined Geneva Family Dental later that year. Since she has joined the team, Heather has received her coronal polishing and sealant certificate allowing her to polish teeth and place protective sealants. Heather recently got married and her and her husband, Mike, just bought their first home in Gilberts.


 
   

Holly is our patient coordinator. You'll also see her in the back assisting at times! She grew up in Wheaton, IL where she graduated from Wheaton North High School.  She then attended University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with an emphasis in biology.  She also played collegiate volleyball.  After school, she started working at a pediatric office where she was an assistant, polished teeth, placed sealants and also assisted in surgeries at an out-patient facility.  She worked in the pediatric dental field for 6 years.  Holly also has her coronal polishing certificate.  She's passionate about working with patients of all ages and loves learning new things in a general dental office. She lives in Batavia with her two children, Bailey and Bodi. 

 
   

Jenny has been in the dental and medical field for 15 years. She's worked in several areas but feels most comfortable as the financial coordinator. She enjoys helping patients find ways to afford the dental work they need. Jenny lives in North Aurora with her husband and three teenagers.

  
   

Courtney grew up in Bristol, Illinois and attended Yorkville high school where she graduated in 2006. After graduating, she became a dental assistant and quickly grew a strong passion for the dental field. In 2007, she received her certificate for coronal polishing and sealants. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two beautiful children, Falynn and Alexander as well as her wonderful fiance, Steven. They are excited and looking forward to their wedding this coming November.
