The Doctors-

Dr. Jentz grew up in Buffalo Grove, IL and recently moved to Geneva with her husband, Mike, to start the dental practice of her dreams.  She attended Indiana University where she received a BS in Biology.  After undergrad she moved to Chicago where she attended University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry, from which she graduated in 2001.  Dr. Jentz chose to open her practice in Geneva because the people in the community are very friendly and family oriented.  Geneva Family Dental is designed around a simple philosophy: “Our family wants to take care of yours!”  We want to get to know the person behind your smile and created a practice to help meet your individual needs.   

Dr. Winckler was born in Aurora and was raised in Hinckley. Following high school at Hinckley-Big Rock High School he continued on to College at Augustana in Rock Island, IL where he graduated with honors and obtained a degree in Biology. Dr. Winckler obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has recently completed a hospital residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, where he acquired extended training in special patient care, emergency dentistry, and each of the dental specialties. During residency training he completed rotations in emergency medicine, anesthesia, oral medicine, and oral surgery. Dr. Winckler's primary interest is general dentistry because it will allow him the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with patients and members of the community for years to come.

The Hygienists -

Kathy is a Dental Hygienist here at Geneva Family Dental.  She has an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene and a  Bachelors degree in Healthcare leadership and continues to specialize as a Periodontal Therapist.  She has enjoyed working in the dental hygiene field because it has given her the flexibility to see her three daughters grow into young women.  Now that her daughters are all grown, she has continued her education and achieved certification in expanded hygiene services.  Together, with experience and proven skills, she will help you maintain a healthy mouth.  Kathy enjoys treating family members of all ages to help educate them about the importance of good dental hygiene.

The Assistants-

Natalie was born in Chicago but lived in New York for most of her adolescent years.  Later she relocated back to Chicago where she graduated from Wheaton North High School.  Natalie’s caring nature made her a natural for dental assisting.  She started assisting in 2002 and has attended many dental seminars to sharpen her skills and understanding of the dental world. She also has her Coronal Polishing certificate, allowing her to polish teeth.  This has led her to a natural leadership role at Geneva Family Dental as our head assistant.  Natalie is proud to have helped build the practice from the beginning and is happy to call it her second home.  

Heather is another of our dental assistants.  She was born in Batavia, Illinois and attended Batavia High School where she graduated ahead of schedule.  She developed an interest for the dental field and her early graduation gave her the opportunity to start assisting.  After discovering her love for dentistry she attended Kishawakee College and received her certificate in dental assisting in 2005.  She joined the Geneva Family Dental team later that year.  Heather is proud to be part of the family and is continually learning new aspects of the dental field.
